Cook your pasta according to the package directions. Do not overcook! When the pasta is done, drain it and add it to a mixing bowl.
Preheat the air fryer to 375F or 190C.
Add your seasonings of choice to the pasta and gently mix to combine.
Add half of the pasta to the air fryer and cook for 8 to 12 minutes, stopping to shake the basket several times.
When it's crispy and nicely browned, carefully remove the pasta from the air fryer basket. Serve and enjoy!

Shorter types of pasta work best for this recipe, including Fusilli, Penne, Bowtie, and Tortiglioni.
Different types of pasta will require different cooking times so be sure to keep a close eye on the pasta while it's in the air fryer.
Be sure to cook the pasta in 2 batches in the air fryer. If the pasta is overcrowded it won't cook evenly.
If you have a vegan ranch powder or spice packet, you can use 2 to 3 tablespoons of that instead of the ranch seasoning suggested above.
If your BBQ rub already has a sweetener then skip the agave and use lime juice instead.
