– Apples – Rolled Oats – White Whole-Wheat Flour

Preheat the oven. Peel the apples and either cut them into thin slices or thumb-sized chunks. For the oven temperature, tap below!

Add the apple slices to a large mixing bowl with the rest of the apple-filling ingredients. Mix to combine.

Add the apples to a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil. Bake, covered, for 25 minutes.

While the apples are prebaking, make the topping. Whisk the whole wheat flour, rolled oats, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.

Step 4

Add the maple syrup and mix to combine. After the maple syrup is combined you will need to break up the mixture into smaller chunks.

Step 5

After the apples have baked for 25 minutes, remove them from the oven and take off the foil.

Step 6

Use your fingers to crumble the topping mixture over the apples. Spread the topping evenly over the apples.

Step 7

Return the apple crisp to the oven and bake until the apples are soft and the juices start to bubble around the edges of the baking dish.

Step 8
